Esports Entertainment Group Incorporated recently announced it has struck a deal for sports betting in the State of New Jersey. The firm from Malta is excited about the multi-year arrangement that will hopefully see its entry in the thriving online gambling market in the US Garden state.
The company headquartered in Valletta Malta detailed its agreement with Twin River Worldwide Holdings Inc. in a regular press release. The conditions involve the launch of a mobile online sports betting opportunity in New Jersey should the new partner finish its planned acquisition of Bally’s Atlantic City holdings.
Esports Entertainment Group Inc. conceded that the Atlantic City venue is owned by Caesars Entertainment Corp. and is being sold as part of a deal to merge with Eldorado Resorts Inc..Once the terrestrial purchase is concluded the Rhode Island headquartered Twin River Worldwide Holdings Inc. the firm will gain a possible three New Jersey licensed online sports betting skins.
Esports Entertainment Group Incorporated Chief Executive Officer, Grant Johnson said the firm is already licensed by online gambling authorities in Ireland, Malta Curacao and the United Kingdom and plans to obtain similar authorization in New Jersey utilizing its GMBL New Jersey Incorporated subsidiary.
CEO Johnson added, “We are excited to partner with Twin River Worldwide Holdings Incorporated as we bring mobile sports betting to the New Jersey market. When we completed our initial public offering on Nasdaq earlier this year, it was with the intention of expanding our operations in the United States. With this partnership, we’re delivering on that goal.”
President and Chief Executive Officer for Twin River Worldwide Holdings Incorporated, George Papanier, said that the firm is already responsible for sports betting offerings in Rhode Island, Mississippi, Delaware and Colorado and described the deal with Esports Entertainment Group Incorporated as ‘a great addition to our growing partnerships with sports book leaders around the world.’
Papanier stated, “Bringing this new and unique offering to the market of Atlantic City with a prominent gaming partner is one of the many exciting changes we have in store for Atlantic City in the months to come.”
