Founded in 2018 CasinoSecret is an online gambling operator which has a “distinct retention model and unique market expertise” has been purchased by the Maltese online casinos and sports book Casumo. The acquisition of CasinoSecret will build the content of Casumo’s rapidly expanding competitive online games. CasinoSecret is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) and is focused on the player experience.
Nadir Ounissi, the Chief Executive Officer for CasinoSecret, commented on the acquisition, “Our ongoing drive to deliver the best online casino experience through innovation and high local relevance fits Casumo’s mission well.” Ounissi, added, “Together we now open new doors to shared expertise and exciting opportunities across the brands.”
The move by the firm illustrates Casumo’s three-part growth strategy, including performance and market-driven growth of existing brands, building and introducing new products and brands, and adding valuable assets to its portfolio via acquisition. The firms developed their partnership in 2019 then Casumo purchased a 40 percent stake in the CasinoSecret online casino, and eventually the full acquisition.
Shelly Suter-Hadad, Chief Executive Officer for Casumo, had this to say about the purchase, “We have developed an ambitious and exciting collaboration with the team at CasinoSecret, which made the merger a clear next step from all perspectives.” Adding, “The acquisition will enable us to further leverage the strong synergies and shared direction of both businesses, while taking our group portfolio to the next level.” Hadad was appointed CEO for Casumo in August of 2019 and is the former Mansion Chief Operating Officer and managing director.
