The Gambling Commission in the U.K. has launched an investigation into Genesis Global Limited which concerns allegations that the online casino operator could have breached the terms of its current license to operate issued by the regulator.
The gambling authority stated via press release that the inquiry is authorized and being administered under section 116 of the Gambling Act which allows action to be taken should the operator be suspected of unsuitable licensed activities due to having an association with individuals possessing a criminal conviction as well as other activities.
The Commission statement said, “We have instructed the operator to facilitate customers accessing their accounts to withdraw funds and advise customers not to place any bets through the [operator’s] websites. If a customer has questions concerning their account, we advise they contact the operator through the website they have used.”
The licence held by Genesis Global Limited of Malta was immediately suspended and also the operator’s twelve previously U. K. authorized domains including CasinoJoy.com, GenesisCasino.com, Sloty.com and VegasHero.com.
The U.K. regulator also stated that Genesis Global offers services for sites: Casoola.com, SpinIt.com, CasinoCruise.com, CasinoPlanet.com, Kassu.com, CasinoGods.com, Pelaa.com and Spela.com. The suspension of the company’s licence will remain until the conclusion of the commission’s review.
